Don't make this mistake on your next mortgage...

The lowest interest rate is NOT always the cheapest mortgage, and here is why...

Whilst the interest rate has the biggest impact on your monthly payment, there are other factors at play that can affect the overall cost of the mortgage.

There are often associated fees to pay, such as:

  • Arrangement or Booking fees (these may be added to the loan)

  • Valuation fees

  • Legal Fees

Some mortgages offer cashback, to help you offset costs.

All of the above will affect the overall cost, so you need to be able to take everything into consideration when determining what would be the most appropriate solution.

For instance, it may be that a higher rate with no fees works out cheapest - but if you just search for the headline rate you'll never even see this.

Avoid the confusion by speaking to us here at Willow Tree Financial Services. We search the market for you, meaning you can be confident that your mortgage rate is the most appropriate overall for your personal circumstances.

*Your mortgage may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
